This is correct. CursorFX does not show in theme manager right now, even if both are installed properly. CursorXP will show in the left list, but when you click on that, the top of the right window should read "CursorXP Themes (Not Installed)".

so I uninstalled cursor xp and uninstalled fx and reinstalled cursor fx. Fixed it

That should be the correct thing to do. Should be working fine now, sounds like it is.

CursorFX won't show in theme manager right now, that is not related to how you went about getting CursorFX installed. Sounds like you are in good shape unless you are having other problems.

I am having problems with this becuase When i apply a siut it will not change the cursor or at least download it. The cursor that is part of the theme will not even be downloaded so that i can apply it manualy meaning I have to search for the cursor? Is there a way to install cursor xp so that it will at least download it and i can move the theme from the cursro xp theme directory to the cursor fx theme directory? Or will that mess things up?

Oh and how long till cursor fx is included in theme manger? Are they working on that?

That's correct, Theme Manager has no idea what CursorFX is yet or that it's installed. To load a cursor that you already have on your machine, you need to load it seperately within CursorFX.
The cursor that is part of the theme will not even be downloaded so that i can apply it manualy meaning I have to search for the cursor?

Not sure about that part, might depend on the suite. Sometimes the cursors in free suites are in the WinCustomize CursorFX Gallery and you can find them easily by going into that gallery and searching on the name (e.g., "Transilvania"). Purchased suites would of course be a different story, if you are having a problem with one of those you'd need to contact the seller.

Last I saw, you do not want to have CursorXP and CursorFX installed at the same time.

I saw a remark here that Theme Manager was going to be updated, and I've also seen references to a replacement for it. No timeframes on either. Patience, I have no doubt these guys are busy. "The better meals don't come out of the microwave."

Ok thanks You so so so much! I am not a very patient person but I have to be with this one. I know there busy. I understand. But you are wrong. TV DINNERS ARE THE BEST! LOL!

Theme Manager is indeed going to need to be updated.  It's just that time of the year where there's a zillion projects but only a finite # of developers.

Even though I have already paid for and downloaded CursorFX, I am still using CursorXP because Theme Manager 2007 refuses to recognize it. Frankly, I don't think they should have released FX until they had at least a beta version of Theme Manager ready to issue with it. It's not smart marketing to release a product intended to be used with other programs, and then not having them working together.

Purchased suites would of course be a different story, if you are having a problem with one of those you'd need to contact the seller.

A purchased master suite is a complete file set you download, all files for that paid for suite are included within the theme's ".suite" file or in a zip.

If they are inside a zip you can extract them and apply individually.

If they are in a ".suite" file you can rename the .suite to .zip and extract the files you wish like the cursorFX/ curXPtheme. then rename it back to .suite when done.

***Mind you this only works with current Theme suites packaged with Theme manager and not with the MyColors packages, as they are encoded.***

As far as I know no Premium or master suites offered on WC. have been Built with MyColors packaging.

Hope this helps  and have fun

Ok COOOOL! That helps allot. Just to make shure that I got it right. I rename the suit file to .zip then i put all of the skins(that thememanager can handel) inside the zip and rename it to.suit. This will allow me to include the cursors upon apply?
on Mar 14, 2008
No. For Premium/Master suites that have included cursors, which are In the new curfx format that Theme manager don't recognize. You would follow my directions to extract them from the suite and manually apply the cursors.

Adding stuff to the suite will not enable theme manager to run curfx ,as theme manager has not been programed to see that curfx exists yet, and can not run the CurFX files.

Oh okay Well what I am woried about is the cursor fx. Everything else workd fine except sometimes when I apply a theme It dont work. It says downloading skins and skips to extract imediatly and then imediatly to apply and does nothing but the wall? But it is not a problem I can just make my own suits from my skins or just download the skind in the theme manualy if they are available and then it would probly work.

yes because theme manage does not recognize cursorFX is installed ( it has not been programmed to look for cursorfx)

The solution i gave you will work for all master/premium suites ,as well as most the regular suites for extracting the Included cursor FX package and applying it manually. Instead of having to search the libraries to find it.

When you DL a suite "typically" it has all the files within it. changing the file extension from .suite to .zip will allow you to enter the file and pull out the CursorFX theme, then rename the .zip back to .suite. This will allow you to reuse the suite again and the cursor FX theme will now be extracted for manual use.

May I ask what 'CursorFX' is? I do not know that program. I only have CursorXP (And it works on Vista too, but it takes too much resources!)
And CursorXP is last changed in the year 2004!!
